Dear Families,

We have an opportunity for a field trip for the “French for the Future Forum,”  on March 27th in Red Deer.  The grade 8 French Immersion students will be transported by bus to Red Deer (Living Stones Church) to participate in various activities.  There is no cost and lunch is provided.  Please bring a water bottle.

• 8:25am leave Fox Run School

• 2:50pm return to Fox Run School

• Living Stones Church in Red Deer

• A full-day event in French for Grade 8-12 French Second Language (FSL) and French First Language (FFL) students.

• Aims to promote the cultural and professional value of bilingualism.

• Facilitates dialogue and celebrates Francophone cultures

ACTIVITIES:

• Morning workshops (student-selected):

  • Cartes et jeux (Cards and games)

  • Zumba

  • Arts Visuels (Visual Arts)

  • Line Dancing

  • Improvisation

  • Songwriting

  • Obstacle course

  • French Café

  • Session on using French for entrepreneurship.

• Afternoon concert featuring 2 Moods, a French rapper from Edmonton and Faculté St.Jean graduate

• Exhibitors from U of C, U of A, Francophonie Jeunesse de l'Alberta, French For the Future, and more

• Keynote speaker, to be determined
